There's something inherently selfish and perverse about the idea of time travel.

Whether we crave burrowing deep into the far reaches of the unknown, or floating back to the soft embrace of the coddling past, it's - in essence - an urge to run.

It's an attempt to slight the very universe we feel slighted by, to proclaim we know better, that we could do a better job, that we see the bigger picture.

Time's Altar is an elegy of manic regret; A rumination on the existential panic of the realization: This is not where I want to be.

This song was originally conceived in Spring 2018 in Montreal, mired in a time of great confusion.
